After several years with a live out caregiver, we unexpectedly found ourselves in the position of looking for a new nanny. We previously had not considered live-in as we felt we would lose our privacy and were not comfortable with someone in our home. Several friends had live-in caregivers and after witnessing it first hand, we quickly realized our concerns were completely unfounded and, in fact, a live-in care-giver would enrich our lives. Working with Shellie, we quickly realized this was a journey we were on together, not simply a placement. She spent the time to educate us on the different cultures, the challenges we may be faced with and provided us with valuable insights. I never thought I would have a Nanny, until a friend recommended I call.  From the very first time I spoke with Shellie I knew that I was in contact with someone who not only cared about the family and the Nannies,  but found it very important to make sure they were a match to our lifestyle.  She was very warm and listened to what we wanted and addressed all of our concerns.  We now have a Nanny and in her first week here, both kids were very sick and my father passed away.  Most would have been overwhelmed, but she has helped get us through this time and has really bonded with all of us.  Christie is warm and caring and is willing to learn.  Her first priority is always the children and she has a great sense of fun.  The girls love her and their lifestyle has improved 100%.  No longer is their day determined by what appointments the dayhome has, but it is now driven by what they want to do and what they want to play.  My 3 year old is so happy that she doesn’t have to be rushed out of the house every morning and go to the dayhome, that for the first little bit, everytime they left for the playground she wanted to go back home right away, she just enjoyed being at her house, playing with her toys and spending time with her big sister.  I believe it has worked out so
well not only because Christie is such a kind soul, but also because Shellie took the time to
find someone who would truly match our family, our values and priorities.  I would recommend Canadian Family Nanny to anyone and have already been spreading the word through my workplace.  My only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner!!  Thank you once again Shellie for

Dear Shellie, I would like to say thank you for giving me a good employer. I’m so glad to work this family. My employer is good to me with the two girls. They allowed me to use the phone and computer. Now it’s snowing here. The youngest one is shy to me but now a bit closer to me. I’m so glad here in Canada the kids are very independent. My time schedule is I woke up
at 6:30an help the 2 girls ready for school and my employer helps me too. Kids are gone a 7:45am. My employer told me I’m the one to manage my time. We don’t have fix schedules. When they are gone I do all the house works until kids come home. I don’t really prepare for supper they are decided what they eat and they are not very choosey with the food.
